Friend to Friend America connections change lives
- Visiting friends are the most important part of our mission to connect with one of the 7 of 10 seniors who never have a visitor.
- For our senior friends, these connections provide companionship, a listening ear, vital face to face interaction, and often lifelong friendships.
- For our visiting friends, these connections build a heart for service, community connection, and often lifelong friendships.
Friend to Friend America’s commitment to volunteers
- Volunteer training to make sure that you feel well-prepared and confident on your first visit with your friend.
- Matching our volunteers and seniors based on shared interests, personalities and availability. Our goal in matching is to create strong bonds and meaningful interactions for both our seniors and our volunteers. It can take a week to match with a friend, and it could take a few months. We work hard to carefully match our volunteers and seniors to make the best connection possible.
- Flexibility to choose the time commitment that works best for you. This may be a few hours a month or more.
- Supporting you every step of the way. We’re here to offer guidance, resources and a community of fellow volunteers who share your passion for our mission to positively impact the lives of lonely and isolated seniors.
